December 18th - 22nd

This week was filled with fun. Fortunately, we did manage to find time for some division practice and a lot of reading. Students also finished up their energy robots, and did a lot of art.

Both of our field trips went great (with only a minor bus hiccup), and everyone was extremely well behaved. I was particularly proud when I noticed a group of students using multiplication to figure out how much 6 kids packs would cost at the movie theatre. It was awesome to see students using Math in a real-life situation! I was also proud of how quickly some students were able to pick up skating - some had not been skating in years, and one had never been before. It was great to see everyone in our class being really helpful and supportive in teaching those students how to skate.

I hope the students had as much fun this past week as I did. Thank you to everyone who helped out with skating Thursday, and thank you for the lovely Christmas gifts today.
