September in Review

September was a busy month. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other, learning about the Power of Yet, and practicing cooperation skills. In Writing, we focused on remembering to use complete sentences. In Reading, we learned about Good Fit Books and the IPICK strategy (posters found on the Our Classroom page). In Math, we started a unit on place value, and learned about numbers up to 10 000. Finally, in Social Studies, we explored the world's continents and Canada's provinces.
